Kid Art

I introduced my kids to Georgia O'Keefe this month. For their masterpiece, I told them that they could only paint one flower chosen from a vase of silk flowers, they had to fill their whole paper, and they had to use every color they saw in the flower. This is a sample of what they produced:

The white tulip is my favorite. To borrow a phrase from Nicco, is that awesome or what?

4 and 5 years old. I am regularly amazed at what little kids can do with a little direction and a lot of freedom in their expression.

Very cool. I would frame them if I were the mom!

I love kid art. I have it up all over my house. Those are cool I think I will have the boys do that for me during the summer.
