Lostie Lost

My friend from church called me this morning and invited us over for dinner tonight. I said "Oh, Stephanie...you don't watch Lost, do you?" She said "You don't have TiVo, do you?" No, no I don't, and even if I did, I didn't want to be late to the TV event of the decade.

I told Patrice that I would cook today, so I could make a Lostie Lost meal.

Sushi appetizer, an homage to the raw fish snack Jin made in the first season.
Hawaiian pork chops, my wild boar substitute. (They didn't have wild boar at Safeway) (And Hawaiian, because, duh.) Patrice was highly offended that I put pineapple in food, but he condescended to eat it anyway.

Palm trees, because I have them.

I miss my Losties already! That was a great show; fun, smart, challenging, deep, philosphical, mythical, spiritual, clever, moving.

I feel like Nicco did when he and his Daddy finished Mario, and like I do every time I finish a great story, but I think Dr. Seuss sums it up nicely for me:

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

(P.S. But I'm not crying because it's over, I'm crying because it was so sad! And happy! And it's over!)
